Bandai Namco and FromSoftware’s Elden Ring needs no introduction. It received high praise and scores from critics and fans, won several Game of the Year awards, and the game has sold over 20 million copies last year.
As someone who has spent some time in the Lands Between, I personally have to say that Elden Ring is quite a marvel to behold as there is an expansive open world to explore with seemingly endless amounts of secrets to discover, an intriguing storyline, and challenging but rewarding gameplay.
For those of you who were never into Soulslikes, Elden Ring is a perfect entry point as FromSoftware has taken what they have learned from their previous titles and has given many mechanics a nice polish. Plus, now that the game is a year old, there are plenty of guides on YouTube that can help make your journey a little easier. So, if you want to see if Elden Ring is really all that it is hyped up to be, it is worth doing so now.
For the veteran Tarnished who has still been wandering the Lands Between and finding new ways to defeat the many bosses and enemies, soon, you will have new reasons to take up arms and head back into the fray as Bandai Namco and FromSoftware have confirmed that they are working on the first expansion for Elden Ring, Shadow of the Erdtree.
Not much has been shared by the developers except for the concept art seen above, which shows a blonde character, speculated to be Miquella riding on your in-game trusty steed, Torrent, in a field filled with gravestone illusions. Off in the distance, we see the Erdtree with a substance leaking from it.
Until further notice, I guess this is the right time for me to head back into the Lands Between to finish my journey.
