At the Game For LIFE Product Experience Day 2022, BenQ introduced a couple of new gaming monitors from the MOBIUZ and ZOWIE lineup.
The primary difference between the two product lines is that ZOWIE puts all its eggs into the performance basket, i.e. response times and refresh rates, while MOBIUZ kind of wants to balance visuals, performance and audio in one package–immersion, as BenQ calls it.
EX270 and EX480UZ
MOBIUZ welcomes the new EX270 and EX480UZ; the IPS 27″ EX270M (FHD) and EX270QM (QHD) currently have the highest refresh rates in the range: 240 Hz, which isn’t to be scoffed at, along with 1ms GTG response times. The OLED 48″ EX480UZ offers 4K resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate and 0.1ms response time.
Both use BenQ’s adaptive HDRi tech to optimise colour detail and clarity and support AMD FreeSync Premium. For audio, BenQ employs a 2.1-channel speaker system. The EX270s have a 5W subwoofer while the EX480UZ uses a more powerful, 10W variant. EX270M: $629, EX270QM: $1,199, available early November

ZOWIE XL2566K
BenQ’s first TN 360Hz DyAc+ monitor featuring DyAc (and DyAc+), a piece of proprietary technology exclusive to BenQ. It helps reduce motion blur, which reduces vigorous screen shaking in-game and in some cases, improves recoil control in games like CS:GO. $1,069, available December
X3000i
The world’s first 4LED True 4K HDR Gaming Projector with 100 per cent DCI-P3 wide colour gamut coverage was launched earlier in the year. It’s specced with 3000 ANSI lumens brightness and 16ms low input lag at 4K@60Hz resolution and is powered by Android TV, enabling smart TV features. Other perks include BenQ’s proprietary CinematicColor technology and a treVolo surround sound system built-in for convenience. $3,499, available now.
