In a recent interview with IGN, Alan Tew, Director of Hogwarts Legacy confirmed that Avalanche Software currently has no plans for Downloadable Content for the Wizarding World RPG that has received rave reviews from critics and fans alike.

“We’ve been really heads down bringing [Hogwarts Legacy] to life,” said Tew, “so at the moment there are no current plans for DLC.”

Will this spell ‘Avada Kedavra’ for Hogwarts Legacy? Unlikely. Gamers seem to be enjoying themselves and taking their sweet time exploring the intricately designed world and replaying the game to see the different outcomes of their choices and multiple endings.

Yes, the devs are also busy working on burning all the bugs in the game. | Avalanche Software

On a more positive note, Avalanche Software will be providing post-launch support and working on fixing bugs, exploits and glitches. The most recent patch for Hogwarts Legacy was released on February 17 and fixes a slew of issues.

The news might be a bummer for fans of the game but with the success Hogwarts Legacy has garnered with its PC and current-gen console sales–and not to mention the upcoming last-gen console release (April 4 – PS4 & Xbox One / July 25 – Nintendo Switch), which will likely further boost sales–it might just be the push Avalanche Software needs to expand the Wizarding World.
