Similar to its high fantasy “cousin” – the Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – Bethesda Game Studios’ post-apocalyptic open-world role-playing game, Fallout 4 is still receiving a lot of love from modders, which has enabled fans to keep on playing it even after the studio has ceased developing content for it.
Many of these mods are incredibly impressive and almost comparable in quality (sometimes even better) compared to official content released by Bethesda. Just by scrolling through Fallout 4’s Nexus Mods page, you will find a slew of mods to change how you want to enjoy your game, from simple additions to total overhauls to fully-voiced DLC-sized mods.
Easily one of the most impressive mods is “The Bleachers – A Diamond City Story” uploaded by MunkySpunk. This mod was voted as Nexus Mods mod of the month in October 2019 and since then MunkySpunk has been hard at work on an expanded version of this popular mod. The result is “The Fens Sheriff’s Department” mod that features over 17,500 voiced lines, 50 quests, and a slew of new content which includes companions, armours, weapons, locations, NPCs and more.
The mod will allow the protagonist, the Sole Survivor to join the Fens Sheriff’s Department, a paramilitary group whose primary concern is Diamond City’s security and who will do whatever it takes to destroy factions who are hostile to the city’s interests and survival.
This impressive mod even works alongside the popular Heather Casdin companion mod and Sims Settlements 2. So if you are looking to replay Fallout 4 with a whole lot more content, you should definitely give these mods a go. Just be sure you read the instructions provided by the mod authors carefully before installing any mods and if you do run into trouble, the Nexus Mods community are a helpful bunch and should be able to provide you with assistance.
