Samsung has launched its next-generation curved gaming monitor, the Odyssey Neo G9 (G95NA).

The curved (1000R radius) Odyssey Neo G9 is an ultra-wide 49-inch display with a 32:9 aspect ratio (DQHD 5,120×1,440 resolution), 240Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time. Other gaming features include low input lag and compatibility with NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD Freesync Premium Pro. The Neo G9 has both Display Port 1.4 (Adaptive Sync) and HDMI 2.1 connectivity options.

Coupled with 2,048 dimming zones, the Quantum Matrix Technology provides enhanced 12-bit gradation for greater control over the light source, which gives the Quantum Mini LEDs more range in terms of brightness.

The Odyssey Neo G9 uses the same Quantum Mini LED tech as the rest of the Neo QLED lineup. For reference, these mini LEDs are 1/40 the height of a conventional LED found on a Samsung UHD TV in 2020.

Quantum HDR 2000 also offers a peak brightness of 2,000 nits (Verband Deutscher Elektrotechniker certified) and a static contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1.

With HDR10+ and 125% SRGB support, the Neo G9 gives you the best of both worlds in colour accuracy and screen responsiveness.

And of course, it won’t be a gaming monitor if it doesn’t have some form of coloured lighting and the Neo G9 is no different – it has a glossy white rear along with an infinity core lighting system that features 52 colours and five lighting effect options. CoreSync lets you personalise your setup with the multiple colour mode.

Priced at $3,399, Samsung’s Odyssey Neo G9 with Quantum Mini LED is now available for preorder at Samsung Online Store , major consumer electronics and IT stores, and Samsung Official Stores in Lazada and Shopee from now to 15 August. Pre-order customers will also receive a free Samsung portable SSD T7 Touch 1TB worth $239.
