BenQ GV11 is a compact projector with pretty useful tricks

Versatility, more so than portability, is what makes the GV11 tick.

The GV11 is in essence, a miniaturised version of the already compact GV30, a pretty cool portable projector. It weighs only 1kg, yet it shares the key features that made the GV30 a standout. This includes its unique shape and ability to rotate the projection angle thanks to its free-rotating stand. You get 135 degrees of projection angle along with automatic vertical keystone correction, and the result is a possible 80″ screen with 2.3 metres of space. And because of the wide angle of possible rotation, you can easily place the project on the floor or throw the projection on the ceiling.

Together with the 5W 2.1-channel speakers tuned by treVolo, the GV11 is a self-contained entertainment system, complete with four ready-made sound modes for easy setup. It also has Bluetooth, HDMI 1.4b, and USB-A inputs for external sources, and supports Chromecast and Apple AirPlay. BenQ says the battery is enough to last through a 160-minute movie or four hours of music.

The GV11 runs on Android TV 10, which means you have access to countless apps available at the store.  However, Netflix is not available and you’ll need a secondary source to watch that streaming service.

The GV11 is priced at $599 and comes with a carrying case bundled. It will be available exclusively on Shopee from 22 October to 6 November 2022 at an early bird price of $529, which includes free shipping. The GV11 will be available on BenQ Amazon and Lazada brand shops from 7 November 2022.
