Are you looking for a new watch to help you stay up-to-date and on time with all your daily meetings and routines? Or maybe you have just been waiting for the right time to splurge on a new smartwatch for yourself or a loved one. Well, come tomorrow (August 8) there will be two extra options for you to choose from because Huawei’s Watch Fit Special Edition (SE) and Watch Ultimate will be available starting tomorrow.
Similar to its siblings (Watch Fit and Watch Fit 2) in Huawei’s Watch Fit family, the Watch Fit (SE) is designed for those who have an active lifestyle and would like to keep track of their fitness goals. The Watch Fit SE sits in between both the Watch Fit and Watch Fit 2 and is ideal for those who want a more affordable option compared to the Watch Fit 2 (SGD168 / MYR599) but has more updated features when compared to the Watch Fit.
This lightweight smartwatch comes with 11 professional sports modes and 85 free sports modes that range from racquet sports to snow sports and has new modes that include football, basketball and even e-sports. As expected from a smartwatch, the Watch Fit (SE) will record basic sports data including time, heart rate, calories and training analytics.
One major benefit for runners is that the Watch Fit (SE) features Huawei’s TruSport algorithm and can obtain comprehensive running data for users, such as pace, heart rate, and running distance. The Watch Fit (SE) will also help you to evaluate your running power index, training load, maximum oxygen uptake, aerobic/anaerobic training pressure, and recovery time.
Other than that, you will also get a suite of smart features such as Incoming Call Notifications, Quick Message Replies, Music Player Control, Smart Alarm, Remote Camera Control, and Find Your Phone. If you do not like having to constantly charge your smartwatch, the Watch Fit (SE) is said to offer between six to nine days of battery life on a single charge depending on your usage. The Watch Fit (SE) also has over 10,000 unique watch faces that can be downloaded via the Huawei Health App.
The Huawei Watch Fit (SE) will come in three colours, Starry Black, Nebula Pink and Forest Green. It is priced at SGD128 / MYR399. If you are in Singapore, you can purchase the Watch Fit (SE) from the Huawei Experience Stores in 313@Somerset and Westgate, Huawei’s official Singapore Lazada and Shopee stores, and partnering retailers, Best Denki, Challenger, Courts, Gain City, SprintCass and MetaPod. If you are in Malaysia, you can purchase this smartwatch from Huawei’s official online store or official Malaysia Lazada and Shopee stores.
On the other side of the fence is the Huawei Watch Ultimate and it is designed for those who want a smartwatch that looks and feels like an exquisite timepiece. It has a case that is made out of zirconium-based liquid metal material that is said to be 4.5 times stronger, 2.5 times harder and 17.4 times lighter than stainless steel. The Watch Ultimate also has a high-strength sapphire glass cover that protects the AMOLED panel and a watch strap that is made of durable yet lightweight titanium alloy. Speaking of straps, it will also come with an additional Hydrogenated Nitrile Rubber (HNBR) strap.
One of the most unique things about the Watch Ultimate is the fact that it supports 100-meter dive-level water resistance while being equipped with audio capabilities, which is a feat in mainstream watches. The watch has also undergone ISO 22810 water resistance standard and EN13319 diving equipment standard tests. Thanks to its 16-structure water-resistant design and micron-level water-proof filter, it is able to withstand deep-sea pressure. It even comes with four different diving modes such as recreational scuba diving, technical scuba diving, freediving and gauge.
Clearly designed for those who enjoy outdoor adventures, the Watch Ultimate has a battery life that can last up to eight days to two weeks depending on your usage. It even supports high-speed charging and wireless fast-charging that fully charges the watch within 60 minutes or 25% in 10 minutes. Additionally, the Watch Ultimate also features Expedition Mode which is backed by the Dual-Band Five-System GNSS positioning to ensure more accurate positioning and is ideal for those who love desert off-roading, camping and hiking.
The Huawei Watch Ultimate is available in Voyage Blue and Expedition, however, only the former will be available in Singapore. The Huawei Watch Ultimate is priced at SGD1,198 and can be purchased at Huawei Experience Stores in 313@Somerset and Westgate, Huawei’s official Singapore Lazada and Shopee stores, and partnering retailer, Scubawarehouse Pte Ltd. If you are in Malaysia, the Voyage Blue variant is priced at MYR3,799 while the Expedition Black variant is priced at MYR3,299. Both can be purchased from Huawei’s official online store or official Malaysia Lazada and Shopee stores.
