Do you remember what Mandai looks like? For those who weren’t inclined to visit zoos regularly before the pandemic hit, it’s even less likely that it’s the first thing on your mind as we gradually return to some semblance of normality.
‘Discover Mandai’ is one of the many meaningful collaborations between brands and our local retail and tourist attractions to help revive our local industries and to remind us that hey, we’re still around and this is what you’re missing out on. And this might also be a fun day out with children as well.

The Mandai Wildlife Group has worked with Sony to have its Sony Alpha Photographers capture breathtaking moments that you can have at Singapore Zoo and River Wonders. The lineup consists of Bryan van der Beek, Darren Soh, Kelvin Koh, Tripeaksimagery – Yeo Wee Han & Charmaine Yap, Chester Chen and Julian W.
Their myriad of perspectives range from close-ups of a giraffe’s coat to the grin of a lioness and the passion of the people who work daily to protect and care for wildlife; all can be seen at a photo wall as a reminder that there are unique experiences to be had if you take the time to look for them.

To encourage visitors to give it a go themselves, Sony will be conducting workshops, hosted by Sony’s award-winning Alpha photographers to help budding photographers and nature enthusiasts put their best foot forward in capturing their perspective of our wildlife parks. Apart from the sharing sessions with the instructors, you will have a chance to go on photo walks with them, observe how they do it, and learn about the best spots along the Mandai Photo Trail in Singapore Zoo and River Wonders to capture great photos. There will also be trail markers that indicate the exact photo spots for the exhibition photos so you can recreate them or give them your own interpretation.

Photo Contest
Stand a chance to win a Sony camera and many more attractive prizes through the Discover Mandai Photo contest. With up to four categories to participate in, the contest is open to all and photo submissions will be displayed at Singapore Zoo and River Wonders. There are no brand restrictions or restrictions on devices used to capture the images for competition.

Photography Workshop
Learn from Sony’s Alpha photographers through the interactive photography workshops . Each photographer will cover a unique area of photography, which means there are plenty of learning opportunities available and you can try out your newfound knowledge immediately at the parks.

The photo trail depicts the Alpha photographers’ journey in capturing their display photographs, complete with trail markers and tips so you have ideas to create something of your own.
