Square Enix’s latest entry into its legendary Final Fantasy franchise is easily one of the most highly-anticipated games that will be released this year. While fans and gamers have not been totally devoid of Final Fantasy games, Final Fantasy XVI is not a reimagining, remake or remaster of any previous entries. In other words, it is a totally new game.
If you have been planning to pre-order the game, Sony Interactive Entertainment Singapore (SIES) and Square Enix are about to give you a little extra incentive to do so with a special pre-order campaign where you might get the chance to win a trip to Malaysia and meet and greet Yoshida Naoki, the producer of Final Fantasy XVI.
This pre-order is open to customers in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines. The steps to enter this campaign are as follows:
- Pre-order any disc version of Final Fantasy XVI (Standard/Deluxe/Collector’s Edition) through authorised retailers in the Participating Countries/Regions.
- Submit the required personal information, proof of purchase (valid receipt) and answer 2 questions in this .
- Entries with the best answers will be selected as the winners. (Entries are already open and will end on 18 June, 2023)
The Meet-and-Greet event will be held on Saturday, July 1 at Sunway Pyramid Shopping Mall, Malaysia.

Final Fantasy XVI will officially be released on June 22 and if you pre-order the game you will get to play it on launch day, and as always, those who pre-order will receive some in-game goodies that will help on your adventure.
Pricing-wise, the Standard Edition is priced at SGD97.90/MYR299, while the Deluxe Edition is priced at SGD139.90/MYR429. The Collector’s Edition (which seems to be sold out everywhere) is priced at a whopping SGD499.90/MYR1,599.
