In an era where prices of everything are creeping upwards, PRISM+ is driving in the ‘wrong direction’ with two curveballs. First up, the Monsoon Front Load Washer is their inaugural washing machine, and follows the usual playbook of being roughly 20% cheaper than the current cheap offering. But the interesting one is the Monsoon Heat Pump Dryer, Singapore’s first UV-sanitizing dryer, which is priced at just S$799 during its IT Show pre-order promo.
For context, most 10kg heat pump dryers cost at least S$1,500, with some premium brands charging nearly double, and like the washing machine, it is a fifth cheaper than the cheapest one you can buy right now.
But it’s not just about price—UV sanitation actively kills 99% of bacteria and allergens during the drying process. In Singapore’s humid climate—where damp laundry can trap bacteria, mould, and odours—this new feature improves hygiene further, especially when you can’t afford the time to sun-dry.
Monsoon Series: More hygienic laundry yet cheaper
PRISM+’s Monsoon Heat Pump Dryer is Singapore’s first-ever dryer with built-in UV sanitation. Embedded in the dryer door, the UV-C light is designed to kill 99% of bacteria and allergens during the drying process. This is especially useful in Singapore’s humid climate, as mould, odours, and bacteria thrive in damp laundry, particularly when drying indoors. This additional layer of protection is perfect for baby clothes, sportswear, undergarments, and allergy-sensitive fabrics.
The dryer also features a Smart Dry Mode that takes the guesswork out of drying. It uses AI-powered sensors to detect fabric type, load size, and humidity levels and adjusts the time and temperature accordingly. This prevents overheating delicate fabrics while ensuring heavier loads dry thoroughly, reducing energy consumption and fabric wear.
The dryer also uses heat pump technology (like a reverse fridge), which recycles hot air instead of constantly generating new heat. It is the most energy efficient method compared to conventional electric and gas dryers, but is usually not as popular due to its high price. Not any more.
The Monsoon Front Load Washer may well be the most affordable front-load washer on the market unless you managed to get a special deal elsewhere. It even has a Steam Wash, which uses high-temperature steam to eliminate bacteria and odours while reducing wrinkles. This benefits allergy sufferers, as steam removes allergens more effectively than regular washing.
The washer is built around an energy-efficient brushless direct current (BLDC) motor, which is quieter, more durable, and more efficient than conventional motors. It also reduces vibration and improves appliance longevity, making it ideal for apartment living where noise reduction is key.
Premium Cyclone Laundry series inbound in Q2
PRISM+ also announced a premium option, set to launch in Q2 2025, with all the bells and whistles.
The AI Smart Wash & Dry function auto-detects fabric type, weight, and soil levels, and adjusts the water, detergent, and cycle settings accordingly for optimal cleaning with minimal effort. Similarly, the Auto Detergent Dosing feature automatically measures and dispenses the right amount of detergent and softener per load, preventing both overuse (which can lead to detergent residue on clothes) and underuse (which affects cleaning performance).
It also gets an ultra-quiet Direct Drive Motor, goes a step further by driving the drum directly, resulting in longer lifespan, less vibration, and reduced noise levels compared to traditional belt-driven motors.
Refrigerators: Smarter Cooling, Bigger Storage
PRISM+ is also expanding its PureFresh refrigerator lineup. The PureFresh SBSi 560 (560L) is its first refrigerator with an ice and water dispenser, marking a significant milestone for the brand with its a ‘high-end-on-a-budget’ option.
For those with limited kitchen space, the PureFresh FDR 440 (440L) offers a compact four-door design to maximise storage without taking up too much room. Meanwhile, families looking for large-capacity storage will appreciate the PureFresh TMF 640 (640L), which is priced at just SGD 863—making it one of the most affordable high-capacity fridges in its class. All models feature no-frost operation, vacuum-insulated panels, and ceramic carbon filters to keep food fresher for longer.
Gaming Monitors & TVs: Back to PRISM+’s Display Roots
PRISM+ refines its high-performance gaming monitor and Mini-LED TV further. For serious gamers, the G1 Series QD-OLED Gaming Monitors offer HDR400 True Black, a 240Hz refresh rate, and an ultra-fast 0.03ms response time to give you colour accurate visuals with deep blacks and buttery-smooth gameplay.
Meanwhile, the PG Series Mini-LED Monitors bridges gamers and content creators with HDR1000 certification and 4K clarity. These monitors offer better contrast, higher brightness, and superior colour precision, making them a perfect fit for high-stakes gaming and professional video or design work on the side (or vice versa).
PRISM+ is also expanding its Mini-LED Google TV lineup with 66- and 75-inch models, offering OLED-like contrast and rich colours at a fraction of the cost.
