Capcom has just dropped the Devil May Cry 5 Vergil DLC for PC, Xbox One and PS4 users. Previously, Vergil was only included with the Special Edition release of the game.
While the Special Edition for the newer consoles features the eye candy goodies in the form of ray tracing and 120 fps modes just to name a few, Vergil was probably the headline act for the update.
Fans of the game will need no introduction as he is a fan favourite after all. For those who don’t, well he’s basically the cool-as-ice character whose schtick is to do the I’m too cool for this game stuff with slicked-back hair and flashy, flourishy moves with a katana.

The good thing about Vergil is that he’s different enough from the rest of the playable cast to warrant a purchase if you are still playing DMC 5 and are looking for new experiences. The DLC adds Vergil to Story Mode and Bloody Palace, so there’s a fair bit of replayability in place there.
I suspect the fans of DMC’s cooler brother won’t mind just spending time practising the flashy movesets – just because. But if you need further convincing then here’s the requisite highlights trailer.
