Oceanus Media Global’s Futurealistic Studio is the first of its kind in Southeast Asia. With its technological expertise and cutting-edge equipment, it seeks to be a one-stop-shop for creating Extended Reality (XR), Augmented Reality (AR), Mixed Reality (MR), and Virtual Reality (VR) media and experiences.
The fully-featured studio was set up to a tune of a cool S$5 million and Oceanus Media says that the studio will raise the bar for physical and virtual immersion and enables them to produce immersive media productions for a wide range of markets from film and TV production to concerts and even corporate events.
Oceanus Media says what sets them apart aside is the technical expertise that they have developed to incorporate the latest technology – they are able to blend XR, AR, MR, and VR technologies into any customised virtual experience that the client requires, and the possibilities are endless.
For example, you can augment live streams and broadcasts with motion capture equipment to create interactive digital concerts for the metaverse. Previous projects include SEA’s first mixed reality concert – ShiGGa Shay’s The ‘365’ Mixed Reality Experience in 2020; Asia’s first virtual fashion festival The Front Row in 2021; the first National Day Parade to incorporate live AR effects in 2021 and Razor Con 2020: World’s first live-streamed event powered by Razer Chroma RGB lighting.
Oceanus Media Global is hoping to be a forerunner in developing the next generation of media producers (should we call them metamedia producers?) and will continue to grow its immersive media studio team of 50 by 50% within the next two years.
