Having a do not disturb indicator is a nice touch as well.

If you spend a lot of time taking calls while working at home, you may as well get yourself a headset that’s up to the task.

One option would be the new Jabra professional headset, the Evolve2 30 . Designed for long hours of use, their new offering is perfect for the work-from-home warrior.

Not only does it weigh a mere 125g, but the soft memory foam earcups are supposed to adapt to your ear contours for extra comfort. The oval ear cushions and angled earcup design reduce background noise as well. Although it’s light, the headset has a steel headband and sliders, providing a good mix of durability and flexibility.

Jabra designed the dual-microphone array to hone in on your voice for clarity in even noisy settings. In addition, an indicator lights up automatically while you are on a call, signalling to people around not to disturb you. You can also turn it on manually, which helps a lot when you don’t want to sound rude in rejecting people while you’re working on something important. The Evolve2 30 also meets the Microsoft Open Office requirement (it’s also Unified Communications certified), which is a good indicator of how well it can suppress surrounding noise.

The Evolve2 30 starts from $140 for the mono version and $156 for the stereo version. It is available at all authorised Jabra distributors and resellers.
