Life by City Energy has opened a new store at Toa Payoh HDB Hub, bringing its gas appliances, installation services and home packages to a convenient location for new and existing HDB homeowners.
For those already in renovation mode, a Life Gas Water Heater costs SGD 620, down from SGD 685, with an additional SGD 50 gas rebate for eligible new installations. The offer includes gas pipe installation for new HDB homes or gas water heater replacement, valued at SGD 288.85. This excludes water piping and plumbing works, which cost extra.
The main appliance packages are:
- Home Essentials Package — SGD 1,459 (usual SGD 1,797): Life Gas Hob, Life Cooker Hood and Life Gas Water Heater, plus a SGD 150 gas rebate for eligible customers. It includes gas pipe installation for the water heater in new HDB homes, as well as delivery and installation of the hob and hood.
- Life Hob & Hood Bundle — SGD 839 (usual SGD 1,112): Life Gas Hob and Life Cooker Hood, with a SGD 50 gas rebate for eligible new installations.
- Life Safety Timer Hob & Hood Bundle — SGD 859 (usual SGD 1,132): swaps in the Life Safety Timer Hob and also comes with a SGD 50 gas rebate for eligible new installations.
The Home Essentials Package can be upgraded to the Safety Timer Hob for another SGD 20, or to the Küche Smart Kitchen package for another SGD 100.
Existing homeowners can switch from electric to gas
Existing HDB homeowners have a slightly different proposition: an electric-to-gas water heater conversion package starting from SGD 39.50 a month, billed through the SP bill.
It covers the Life gas water heater, heater installation, gas and water piping, carpentry adjustments, and removal of the existing electric heater; the appeal is not having to coordinate those jobs separately.
Customers can choose either a SGD 100 gas rebate or two AMetz bath mixer taps worth SGD 200. The package also includes up to a three-year warranty and a Gas Safety Support Plan worth SGD 59.
Bundle and package buyers can add a Rinnai RDT-62-SG-W gas dryer for SGD 1,220, down from SGD 1,335, or get 50 per cent off the Küche KEO670GW Smart Oven, usually SGD 1,463.
