ASUS’ ROG Phone 7 Series is now officially available in Singapore

As expected, these gaming phones take the mobile gaming experience to the next level.

The ASUS ROG Phone 7 and ROG Phone 7 Ultimate were officially launched in April and if you have been waiting to get your hands on these impressive pieces of kit, you can finally do so in Singapore.

After all the years of constantly innovating and pushing the envelope when it comes to ROG Phones, it is still impressive to see how ASUS manages to devise innovative ways to take mobile gaming to the next level. So while you may already know all about the ROG Phone 7 and ROG Phone 7 Ultimate as both have been reviewed by most tech publications and YouTubers, I will just give you a quick recap of what they bring to the table.

Similar to ROG Phones that came before it, the ROG Phone 7 series is all about pure performance. Both variants are powered by the latest 3.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, which is paired with 16GB of 8,533MHz LPDDR5X Ram and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. If that was not already impressive enough, the new Qualcomm processor supports hardware-accelerated ray tracing, which means for games that support it, you can actually enjoy hyper-realistic reflections on water and metal surfaces.

The ASUS ROG Phone 7 Ultimate will be the gaming phone to get if you are an avid mobile gamer.

On top of that, these new devices use a 165Hz Samsung AMOLED display with a 720Hz touch-sampling and boast a Delta E <1 colour accuracy. Just as an interesting note, the visuals are tuned in collaboration with visual-processing company Pixelworks® to ensure next-level colour accuracy. Both phones can also achieve a brightness rating of up to 1,500nits.

One of the aspects of ROG Phones that have always been a major selling point is the sound quality of its speakers. This time around, the ROG Phone 7 series has twin front-firing 12x16mm speakers that are 50% louder but still produce clear audio. ASUS has also retained the 3.5mm headphone jack which is always a nice touch for those who prefer using wired earphones while gaming. If you prefer wireless earphones though, the ROG Phone 7 series supports Qualcomm aptX and aptX Lossless for super-low-latency high-fidelity Bluetooth Audio.

If you want to enhance the audio further, the AeroActive 7 cooler’s five-magnet, super-linear 13x38mm subwoofer will not only give you added bass but also 2.1 sound when it is attached. Speaking of cooling, the ROG Phone 7 Ultimate even features a AeroActive Portal, an inlet that activates automatically when the AeroActive Cooler is attached to direct a constant flow of cool air from the cooler onto the cooling fins of the vapour chamber. When the AeroActive Portal is activated, the phone’s thermal efficiency is said to improve by up to 20%.

But with that said, the ROG Phone 7 is equally powerful and impressive.
