The ASUS Vivobook 13 Slate OLED (T3304) is the latest iteration of its 2-in-1 laptop.
Under the hood, the slate laptop is powered by an eight-core 3.8 GHz Intel Core i3-N300 processor that’s faster and more energy efficient than its predecessor. It’s paired with 256 GB UFS 2.1SSD and 8 GB LPDDR5 memory. You also get dual USB-C ports, an audio jack, and a microSD card reader.
The specs look relatively modest, but the new Vivobook is designed primarily with entertainment and content creation in mind, and the multimedia features are where it shines: how about a 13.3-inch (16:9 ratio) OLED Dolby Vision Pantone Validated touchscreen with 100 per cent DCI-P3 coverage for cinema-grade colour accuracy?
The display is also DisplayHDR True Black 500 certified and has a fast 0.2-millisecond response time. It also meets TÜV Rheinland standards for low blue light levels. The quad-speaker Dolby Atmos sound system is powered by a smart amplifier that’s up to 3.5 times louder than regular amplifiers and it’s able to safely drive the four wide-range speakers at their maximum possible distortion-free volume.
The slate computer is also equipped with the ASUS Pen 2.0, a Microsoft Pen Protocol (MPP) 2.0-compliant stylus that is stowed in the cover stand. The pen features 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity, 5-350 gram pen-tip force and a 266 Hz sampling rate. You’re also given four swappable tips that mimic 2H, H, HB and B pencils for natural writing and drawing feel. The stylus is connected by Bluetooth and it has a shortcut button that gives you one-click functions like taking screenshots or advancing slides during presentations.
The keyboard also attaches magnetically and features a standard 19.05mm pitch, 1.4mm key travel and dished keycaps to make typing as comfortable as possible. It’s paired with a large touchpad that’s also coated for a smooth feel.
In addition, the Vivobook can double up as a wireless secondary screen for another mobile device or PC, via Mirror and Extend settings, and take advantage of the quad-speaker audio system as well. It also has a convenient Unify Control feature that lets you use a single mouse and keyboard to control all devices from one PC. You’ll also get a free one-year subscription for the full version of ASUS GlideX for enhanced cross-device screen sharing.
Other benefits include an FHD IR camera that supports face recognition login, ASUS 3DNR and AI noise-cancelling to enhance video and audio quality respectively for calls. It also meets MIL-STD-810 US military-grade standards for durability.
The ASUS Vivobook 13 Slate OLED (T3304GA-LQ005W) retails at $1,249 starting today and will be available at the ASUS Exclusive Store, ASUS Online Store, and all authorised retailers.
