Xiaomi’s popular Redmi Note series gets an update. The Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G, Redmi Note 11 Pro, Redmi Note 11S and Redmi Note 11 have received upgraded SoCs, camera system, display and charging speed.

While the Redmi Note 11 will get a 50MP camera, the other three will sport the 1/1.52" primary sensor (Samsung HM2) with 108MP resolution. The 108MP camera uses 9-in-1 pixel binning technology and dual native ISO to improve dynamic range and colour performance, even in dim lighting conditions. And at the front, all phones are equipped with a 16MP camera designed to capture natural-looking selfies.

The new Redmi Note models feature FHD+ AMOLED panels with DCI-P3 support, along with a 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz polling rate on the non-pro models and 120Hz refresh rate and 360Hz polling rate on the pro models. The pro models are specced with slightly better peak brightness (1,200 vs 1,000 nits). The display sizes are slightly different as well; the non-pro models receive a 6.43" display while the pro models use a 6.67" panel.

The other major difference lies in their processors ā€“ Redmi Note 11 gets the Snapdragon 680 processor; the Redmi Note 11 Pro and Redmi Note 11S get the MediaTek Helio G96 ā€“ the equivalent of Snapdragon 732GĀ ā€“ while the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G gets the new Snapdragon 695, which features a more efficient 6nm process.

All four devices are equipped with a 5,000mAh battery but the chargers are different. Non-pro models get the 33W Pro fast charging feature, which gives you a full charge in approximately an hour, while the 67W turbo-charging on the pro models only needs 15 minutes to fill half the battery.

Unfortunately, the phones are not water-resistant, but on the upside, you do have a 3.5mm headphone jack for your wired headphones.

As it stands, the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage (all models offer microSD expansion) variant looks like the sweet spot but confirmation on which models will be available locally will be made at a later date. Prices range from US$179 (Redmi Note 11 4GB/64GB) to US$379 (Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G 8GB/128GB).
