Xiaomi has quietly built an empire of keenly priced cleaning gadgets, and the new Robot Vacuum 5 Pro looks to be yet another potential banger. Priced at SGD 999, it joins the rare club of 20,000 Pa robovacs, putting it nose-to-nose with Roborock and Dreame’s big hitters at a friendlier price.
The 5 Pro isn’t just a ‘muscle car’ robovac. Its triple-camera AI recognises dirt patches as well as obstacles, and a retractable laser module lets it squeeze under furniture as low as 9.5 cm. The base station heats mop pads to 80 °C, re-washes when sensors detect lingering grime, and handles auto-emptying. It also doubles as a remote video manager, turning the vacuum into a roving security camera when you’re out.

The regular Robot Vacuum 5 shares the same 20,000 Pa suction and radar navigation, but only gets dual-line structured light obstacle detection. Its dock still supports adjustable water temps and hot-air drying, though without the Pro’s dirt-triggered rewash cycles. At SGD 799, it offers flagship suction at a mid-range price.
Below that, the S40 Pro (SGD 349) features LDS mapping and dual-rotating mop pads with auto-lift for carpets, while the Vacuum Cleaner P30 (SGD 92) and Truclean W30 Pro Wet Dry Vacuum (SGD 399) cater to lightweight stick use and all-in-one floor washing.

But the stars of this release are undoubtedly the Series 5 robovacs. For households that just want top-tier suction without the premium tax, Xiaomi may have landed on the sweet spot.
