ASUS has unveiled the ROG NUC 16 Edition 20, a special-edition gaming mini PC built around an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU with 24GB of GDDR7 memory.
It pairs that laptop-class GPU — not the desktop RTX 5090, just to be clear — with an Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus processor, ships with 64GB of DDR5-6400 memory expandable to 128GB, and includes a 2TB PCIe 5.0 SSD. All of this fits inside a roughly three-litre chassis weighing 3.12kg.
Its direct counterpart is the regular ROG NUC 16, which will be available in Singapore from Q3 2026. That model tops out at an RTX 5080 Laptop GPU with 16GB of GDDR7 memory, while retaining the same Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus option, roughly three-litre format and support for both PCIe 4.0 and PCIe 5.0 storage.
ASUS rates the Edition 20 for up to 300W of combined CPU and GPU heat dissipation. It claims 21% more CPU thermal capacity than the previous generation, while the regular ROG NUC 16 is quoted at 12% more CPU thermal coverage.
ASUS also says the Edition 20 uses thermal modules selected from the top 10% of the production run, although it does not explain the selection criteria or quantify how much of a difference this makes in practice.
The anniversary treatment includes a dark semi-transparent chassis, embossed gold detailing and red accents. A removable stand supports vertical or horizontal placement, while the tool-free design provides access to the memory and storage.
At the time of writing, ASUS has not announced Singapore pricing or retail availability for the ROG NUC 16 Edition 20, although the company lists it in the US at USD 5,999.
For local price context, Challenger currently lists the closely related 2025 ROG NUC at SGD 4,799. That configuration has an RTX 5080 Laptop GPU, Core Ultra 9 275HX, 32GB of memory and a 2TB SSD.
