The appeal of the ROG Gjallar lies in a clean setup. ROG’s newest gaming soundbar combines 2.1.2-channel Dolby Atmos audio with built-in microphones and a separate desktop control hub — giving you voice pickup, playback controls, and source switching all controlled via a single console.
The 607mm-wide soundbar uses four 50mm full-range drivers, two 27mm tweeters and upward-firing channels. A separate 6.5-inch, 65W subwoofer connects over a 5GHz wireless link, allowing it to be positioned independently beneath or beside the desk.
The control hub features an LCD display that provides access to playback, input selection, EQ profiles, Aura RGB lighting, and Gjallar’s microphones.
This looks like a recipe for feedback, but ROG equipped an Acoustic Echo Cancellation feature that it says reduces speaker audio feeding back into voice chat. It does this through an AI beamforming system that focuses on the user’s voice while suppressing background noise such as PC fans and system hum.
Connections include USB-C, optical, AUX, Bluetooth 5.3 and HDMI 2.1 with eARC. The HDMI connection supports video pass-through at up to 4K and 120Hz, while two USB Type-A ports can accommodate peripherals such as wireless dongles and external storage.
The Gjallar supports Windows PCs, Macs, TVs, PlayStation 4 and 5 consoles, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and mobile devices. EQ, microphone and lighting settings can also be adjusted through the browser-based Gear Link interface or its mobile app.
ROG has not announced a local price for the Gjallar just yet, but it is scheduled to reach Singapore stores from mid-Q3 2026.
