VALORANT Season 2026 // Act 4 went live on 24 June 2026, led by Summit, a new two-site, three-lane map set at a Radiant training academy in the mountains of China.

Its defining mechanic is a set of three droppable walls at A Site, B Site and Mid. Lowering one cuts off sightlines or rotation paths, and the wall stays down until the round ends. Both teams then have to play the remainder around the altered layout. mit entered the Competitive rotation immediately. During its first two weeks, Ranked Rating losses on Summit are reduced by 50%, while wins continue to award the full amount. A separate Summit Only queue will run for seven days using the shorter Swiftplay format.

Summit and Sunset have also entered the Competitive and Deathmatch map pools, replacing Fracture and Pearl.

Act 4 also adds Retake, a limited-time 3v3 mode built around post-plant play. The Spike automatically plants a few seconds into each round at a visible location. One team holds the site while the other attempts to retake and defuse, with sides changing every round. The first team to five rounds wins.

There is no conventional economy. Players instead choose from randomised cards for weapons and armour, and separate cards for ability charges, with the options escalating as the match progresses. Retake currently draws single sites from Ascent, Bind, Haven, Summit and Sunset. Riot has not announced when the mode will leave the queue.

The Act 4 cosmetics include the Blackspyre collection for the Phantom, Sheriff, Spectre and Ares, together with the Divide melee weapon. The new Battlepass includes the Sky Reaper Ghost, Heal Up Squad Card and Blep Spray.
