Sony WH-CH720N and WH-CH520 offer a combination of advanced features, long battery life, and enhanced call performance.
Sony is offering two styles: the WH-CH720N is over-ear while the WH-CH520 is on-ear. Both models feature Sony’s signature Digital Sound Enhancement Engine (DSEE), which restores high-frequency elements lost during music compression, and feature Multipoint for easy connectivity between devices.
WH-CH520
The WH-CH520 is available in four colours–black, blue, white, and beige–and is designed for all-day use with its adjustable headband with padding, soft earpads, and lightweight design for maximum comfort.
It also has high-quality microphones coupled with noise suppression processing to reduce ambient noise during calls, making it easier to hold conversations even in noisy environments. The battery life is rated for up to 50 hours, which is quite respectable.
WH-CH720N
Designed to be comfortably worn for long periods, the WH-CH720N is Sony’s lightest pair of over-ears wireless headphones with noise cancelling, weighing in at just 192g. They incorporate Dual Noise Sensor technology and Sony’s V1 chip, which work together to provide noise cancelling.
Using two microphones in each earcup, which capture ambient sound, the Sony | Headphones Connect app lets you adjust the ambient sound across 20 different levels. Sony adds that the beamforming microphones with Precise Voice Pickup technology pick up your voice more clearly and accurately in a range of environments.
Compared to the WH-CH520, the battery life is noticeably shorter with up to 35 hours of usage, but it’s not too shabby either.
The WH-CH720N and WH-CH520 headphones will be available at selected retail shops and online stores from March 2023 at a retail price of SGD249 (RM649) and SGD139 (RM229) respectively.
