The HUAWEI WATCH GT 3 SE is an entry-level smartwatch designed for urban explorers, sports enthusiasts, and health-conscious individuals.
Despite the budget-conscious billing, the GT 3 SE is lightweight (35.6g without strap) thanks to its hollowed-out reinforced polymer fibre housing, and is feature-packed to boot. Underneath the Corning Gorilla Glass crystal lies a 1.43″ AMOLED display (466×466 pixels, 326PPI), so it’s more akin to a lifestyle-centric watch than a sporty piece of athletic gear. It also boasts a 2-week battery life and supports wireless charging.

And yet, it features 5ATM water resistance (satisfies ISO 22810:2010) and support for five major satellite systems (GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS, Galileo and QZSS) to maximise coverage. The watch supports over 100 sports modes, intelligent running plans, and Huawei’s TruSport Science-Based Research System, which provides insights through sports assessments and will offer suggestions.
The GT3 SE tracks heart rate (TruSeen 5.0+), sleep, SpO2, stress, and menstrual cycle. TruSeen 5.0+ tech has an increased data capacity with a reduced signal loss rate and as such, can better cope with motion noise and improves heart rate measurement accuracy during workouts.
It also monitors sleep using infrared light (TruSleep 3.0), which Huawei says is 10 per cent more accurate than its previous incarnation. The company adds that not only can it automatically detect your duration of sleep, but it can also provide a comprehensive overview of your entire sleep cycle, which includes light sleep, deep sleep, REM and awakening, by analysing multiple physiological parameters based on body movement, heart rate and HRV. To provide further insight into your sleeping habits, the watch supports sleep talk recording and snore tracking, which provides you with useful insights about your sleep habits. As such, it has improved accuracy in recognising your sleeping state, including during naps.

Priced at SGD248|RM899, the HUAWEI WATCH GT 3 SE (Graphite Black and Wilderness Green) will be available at Huawei Official Stores on Lazada SG|MY and Shopee SG|MY from 1 March 2023, and from HUAWEI Experience Stores in 313@Somerset and Westgate from 3 March 2023.
