OPPO Find X10 series gets major upgrades — but which model should you buy?

Bigger batteries, better cameras and new AI features make both Find X10 models compelling. But is the Pro Max worth the premium?

OPPO clearly didn’t get the memo about saving some upgrades for next year. The Find X10 series arrives with new processors, bigger batteries, upgraded cameras, more ambitious video capabilities and an AI assistant developed with Manus.

The Find X10 Pro Max sits at the top, sporting three 200-megapixel rear cameras as part of an imaging system co-developed with Hasselblad. The surprise is how much of the good stuff trickles down to the regular Find X10, including an 8,000mAh battery and 200MP main and telephoto cameras.

With Singapore pre-order prices starting at SGD 1,349 and just SGD 300 separating the two 512GB models, choosing between them becomes less straightforward, but in a good way.

More than megapixels

Major upgrades across cameras, batteries and AI make both models interesting. The question is whether the Pro Max’s extra photography and video hardware is worth the premium.

Three 200MP cameras, but 26MP might be the magic number

The Find X10 Pro Max has 200MP main, ultra-wide, and telephoto cameras, with OPPO promising more consistent image quality across focal lengths and fewer detail drop-offs when switching between lenses.

However, most people won’t shoot 200MP photos all day, and the X10 series defaults to 26MP stills across all three rear cameras, retaining enough detail for editing and cropping without filling your storage with full-resolution files. In theory, it’s a sensible compromise between detail and file size, although higher resolution doesn’t automatically translate into better photographs.

The Pro Max pairs a 1/1.3-inch main sensor with a 1/1.56-inch ultra-wide sensor, narrowing the usual hardware gap between the two cameras. The regular Find X10, meanwhile, uses a 1/1.4-inch main sensor and a much smaller 1/2.75-inch ultra-wide. While both ultra-wide cameras support autofocus, the Pro Max is capable of a wider 124-degree field of view.

Both phones get 200MP telephoto cameras with 1/1.56-inch sensors, but the Pro Max has a wider f/2.1 aperture versus the Find X10’s f/2.6, potentially helping in low light.

There’s a slight difference in video, too. The Pro Max supports 4K recording at 120 frames per second and 8K at 30fps across all three rear cameras. The Find X10 supports those modes on its main and telephoto cameras, but not its ultra-wide. If you frequently switch focal lengths while filming, the Pro Max lets you retain those recording options across all three cameras.

Bigger batteries, faster chips and an AI agent

Both Singapore models get 8,000mAh silicon-carbon batteries, a sizeable increase over their predecessors, particularly for the regular Find X10. OPPO claims up to two days of typical use and more than 80% capacity retention after five years under its test conditions. As ever, your mileage will vary.

The Pro Max also gets a faster Dimensity 9600 Pro processor and 16GB of RAM, compared with the Find X10’s Dimensity 9600M and 12GB. Both should have ample performance for everyday use, although the Pro Max offers more headroom for demanding games and applications.

ColorOS 17 also introduces Mind Pilot, a system-level AI assistant co-developed with Manus. It combines access to locally stored files with Manus-powered AI agents, allowing it to find and organise information before using it to complete multi-step tasks.

The updated version of AI Photo Agent lets users describe photo edits in plain English, receive suggested adjustments or match the colours and mood of a reference image.

Find X10 or Find X10 Pro Max: what does the extra money buy?

On paper, the regular Find X10 is the sensible starting point for most buyers. It has two high-resolution cameras, the same battery and charging specifications as the Pro Max, and a smaller display for those who prefer a more compact phone. For everyday use, the additional SGD 300 for the Pro Max’s cameras is less of a draw.

For photography and video enthusiasts, the choice is more clear-cut. The Pro Max’s larger main sensor, substantially upgraded ultra-wide, wider-aperture telephoto and expanded video recording options offer greater flexibility. The faster processor and additional RAM are welcome bonuses, although probably not reasons to upgrade on their own.

That SGD 300 premium applies during pre-orders. At regular prices, the difference grows to SGD 400, making the Pro Max a harder sell unless you know you’ll use its extra capabilities.

Singapore pricing and availability: which one makes more sense on paper?

The Find X10 offers most of the series’ major improvements without the Pro Max’s premium. The Pro Max gives enthusiasts more ways to shoot, plus extra processing power. OPPO has upgraded the fundamentals enough that choosing the regular model doesn’t feel like settling for significantly less.

The 256GB Find X10 is priced at SGD 1,349 during pre-orders, SGD 200 less than the 512GB version. That’s worth considering if you primarily stream content and use cloud storage. However, high-resolution photographs and 4K or 8K video can eat through storage quickly, particularly if you regularly shoot at the camera’s highest settings.

For now, the best Find X10 isn’t necessarily the one with the longest specification sheet. Rather, it’s the one with features you won’t leave unused.

Pre-orders run from 22 to 28 October 2026. Pre-order benefits include a two-year international warranty and a two-year screen protection plan. Eligible buyers may also receive up to SGD 250 in trade-in bonuses, up to SGD 100 in financing discounts and up to SGD 120 off selected accessories. These are conditional benefits, not guaranteed cash savings. Full details are available here.
