RSG SG are back-to-back champions Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Singapore Season 4 (MPL SG S4) after defeating their fierce rivals Slate in a rollercoaster final that went all the way down to the wire.

They will also be Singapore’s representatives for the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang World Championship (M4), to be held in Jakarta, Indonesia, from 1-15 January 2023.

Slate, the spiritual successor to the now-defunct EVOS SG, had been the pre-eminent team in Singapore who had taken the first two titles. With the win, RSG SG not only retain their title as MPL SG champions, but they also became the first team in MPL history to finish an entire season undefeated. What we have now folks, is a proper rivalry.

Clash of the MLBB titans.

The encounters between the two teams throughout the season have been nothing short of electric. RSG SG struck first with a 2-0 win in the League and followed that up with a nail-biting 3-2 win on Day One of the playoffs to send Slate to the Lower Brackets.

Slate and RSG SG would meet for the last time in the Grand Finals, which was held at Our Tampines Hub in front of a raucous crowd numbering over 500. The Grand Finals would also see a record 32,545 concurrent online viewers who witnessed the nail-biting conclusion.

Both teams would trade leads throughout their encounter in spellbinding fashion, neither able to stretch their advantage as the other delivered a riposte in return. It all came down to a final, winner-takes-all game, which RSG SG finished in style and sent the crowd into raptures.

Mr Masagos Zulkifli, Minister for Social and Family Development, was also on hand to award the prizes for Best Rookie to Vernon “Peace” Chua, Regular Season MVP to Bellamy “Lolsie” Yeo, and Best Caster to Chris “Jayz” Yeo. Jayz will thus represent Singapore in the casting booth at the M4 World Championship in Jakarta. Yeo “Diablo” Wee Lun of RSG SG was also named MVP for the Playoffs.
